Q: What exactly is career coaching?
A: Imagine your favorite player in any sport. Now imagine taking them to lunch and asking her/him where they'd be without great coaches. Coaches can take raw talent - diamonds in the rough - and help them see their greatness. They also help great players get even better. With career coaching, you receive guidance based on your career goal; most programs last 4-6 weeks and are customized based on your short- and long-term goals. My coaching sessions include hands-on exercises to help you discover your strengths or learn key strategies (interview prep, salary negotiation).
Q: How do I know if you're a good fit for me?
A: During your free consult, we will learn about each other; we'll discuss your résumé and identify your goals, and . After that, I'll recommend next steps (a full coaching plan, résumé re-design, or both). From there, you decide whether you're ready invest in your career by working with me (I think you'll say 'heck yes!').
Q: Who is your ideal client? Do you work with just one field?
A: Someone who is ready and willing to take charge of their careers. Previous clients have had 0-5 years experience, and some have had closer to 10 years. As for fields, we have helped clients in Education, Engineering, Sales and Operations, Non-profits, Tech, Finance, Marketing...all fields welcome!
Q: Where do coaching sessions take place?
A: Most sessions are held virtually, via phone, FaceTime, Zoom or Google Hangouts.
